Project Scope
Successfully completed the full migration of a client’s collaboration and productivity suite from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365.
Scope included the seamless transfer of:
- Emails, calendars, and contacts
- Google Drive files to OneDrive/SharePoint
- Local file storage to Microsoft cloud infrastructure
All data was migrated with minimal disruption, ensuring business continuity and secure data integrity throughout the transition.
Key Activities
1. Microsoft 365 Environment Setup
- Provisioned and configured the Microsoft 365 environment, including license assignment with one of the Trusted Partners
2. Google Workspace Preparation
- Super Admin account created for migration handling
- Enabled necessary APIs (Gmail, Contacts, Calendar, People, Google Drive)
3. Domain Verification
- Verified domain via DNS configuration in GoDaddy
- Configured domain for use in Microsoft 365
4. User Setup and Migration
- Created and licensed M365 user accounts
- Performed migration via Exchange Admin Center
- Validated migration of emails, calendar events, contacts, and Drive content
5. Post-Migration Activities
- Configured end-user devices to meet security requirements and M365 (Installation of 365 Apps)
- Migrated local file share to SharePoint and synced with relevant devices
- Provided user training, credentials handover, and secure access guidance
